We apologize for any inconvenience. Our insurance carrier for the past decade has informed us that due to policy changes they will not insure tournaments effective July 1, 2005.  After many discussions we decided that if the insurance issue was not settled by Wed. June 22, we would postpone the showcase for one summer.  With many out of town guests, we wanted to give people two weeks notice for their personal schedule.
Anyone who registered online will receive an online refund.  All registrations by mail, or drop off will receive the original check in the mail. This is huge disappointment for us, as we use the proceeds from the Showcase for the Alaska Youth Hockey Safety Program.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

New Format - More Games – More Fun

Games will be played during the day Wednesday to Friday, with the Final Games played on Saturday
Players can be a part of the Full Day Program by attending the UAF/ALCAN Hockey Academy

ALCAN HOCKEY & UAF NANOOK HOCKEY will offer the Hockey Academy, in conjunction with the Showcase. This will give players and parents the option for a Full Day Event for Squirt, Pee Wee, and Bantam Players, or participate in the only the Showcase.. Every year we take feedback from the event, and strive to make it even better. With more games, and the full day option we are doing just that. The Hockey Academy will include  the following sessions;

- Learning Center
- Skill of the Day
- Athletic Competition
- Video Session.
To ensure the success of the tournament, the Midnight Sun Hockey Association has joined forces with Alaskan-Canadian Hockey Schools, and the University of Alaska Fairbanks Hockey Program.  ALCAN and UAF will offer assistance in planning, staffing, and facilities for the tournament.  Midnight Sun founder Mark Norum will act as Tournament Supervisor.  Other Tournament Officials include: Tournament Directors: ALCAN Hockey: Wayne Sawchuk & Dean Fedorchuk,  UAF Nanook Athletic Department Tavis MacMillan.
